TH12 Touhou Seirensen ~Undefined Fantastic Object due Reitaisai 6

Main

See last picture.

So apparently, while i was asleep, ZUN annnounced Touhou 12 – Seireisen ~ Undefined Fantastic Object (UFO. Wut >.>). Via ZUN’s alcohol stank diary, the demo will be due on March the 8th, Reitaisai (Which I’m trying to negotiate my way to). Sanae fans are in for a really pleasant surprise for their calls have been answered, as Sanae will be playable along side Reimu and Marisa. According to Poolshmer:

Not entirely confident of this rendering, but…

Nothing to correct or commemorate. Touhou Project 12

“Touhou Seirensen [Star-Lotus Ship] ~Undefined Fantastic Object”.

Contrary to the usual feel, the scoring balance has been majorly reworked from the norm, making for a fairly challenging game.
I’ve studied the difficulty level. Yeah, it’s simple and easy to earn [points].

As for the story, to put it simply:
Gensokyo’s abuzz with rumors of a flying treasure ship sighted since the beginning of spring. Thinking this is a good omen, the player darts all over the sky in pursuit of black shadows, attempting to be first to board the treasure ship.

That’s the kind of light feel it’s got. The player characters are the three humans plus Sanae. Each one chooses one of two goals and follows the treasure ship(?) zooming all over the sky. The goals are surprisingly light, and yet…

Completion is scheduled for 2009.
A demo CD is planned for sale at the Hakurei Shrine Reitaisai on March 8. You can even use it for a pot coaster if you’re interested.
As usual, the demo will contain up to Stage 3. It’s so much the usual that you’ll pass through the game as usual. Nostalgism is nostalgism, no matter how old it gets.

So apparently Reimu heard of a treasure boat and simply darted off to find it. As expected, move along.

So I heard a few stuffs from SA would be retained. Seems like it's true.

3

Well shit, ZUN, for one, stopped drinking? Cause that Reimu's a lot better looking.

4

Sanae? Is that frogs you're shooting?

5

What do you know, UFOs.

6

夢想封印! YAY!

Undefined Fantastic Object is looking great AFAIK, and with the plot set around flying ships and UFOs, we could expect some new characters (moe aliens/pirates, anyone?) . After giving his statement against the recently released Touhou anime, I guess he made it a point to draw better i suppose.

One point of interest, though:

Did ZUN missed out on Christmas or something?

Did ZUN missed out on Christmas or something?

Oh well, guess I i managed to negotiate my way to Reitaisai, I’ll definitely be picking this up, even if it’s a demo. Maybe I could try heading to Akiba and see if i could locate the original Musou Kakyou DVD as well.

A long absence, but I’ve returned with some stuffs to announce.

Okay, first off, I’m back. Again.

Second, I’m glad to announce that the project I’m helping out with is starting to shape up, as we’ve just recently released a demo, which can be found here. Screenshots can be found here, but currently we haven’t uploaded any, so if you want to see some, please wait a while more.

Currently, we’re missing a writer for Mikuru’s arc. If anyone that reads this post is interested, do not hesitate to sign up here and provide us with your talent, thanks.

Finally, I’ll like to bid you good day, and til next time we meet again.

AFACON: 22nd, 23rd November, 2008, on an epic proportion.

Tomorrow, at exactly 1000 GMT +8 Singapore, the first Anime Festival Asia Convention would launch and bring about a revolution to the otaku society in miserable Singapore. Just what is the AFACON? Well, as i said, it’s the Anime Festival Asia Convention, hosted by I Promo, and sponsored by Bandai and Japan Foundation.

So what’s going to happen? Well, Akiba Town will feature many booths from our local KNnM and La Tendo to overseas famed companies like Good Smile and Max Factories, selling merchandises ranging from gundam kits to figurines to probably other relating itsm like mugs/shirts/hats/etc. It also stocks great opportunites for collectors to buy limited edition items like the 1/60 GUNDAM EXIA CLEAR TRANS-AM VERSION that’s exclusive to the AFACON-08, or the GX-44 Tetsujin 28 which is not even on sale yet in Japan! What’s more, the father engineer of Gundam would do a signature on your MG Gundam V2.0 kit if you had bought it at Takashimaya tomorrow, a chance not to be missed by Gundam fans all over the world!

And lets not forget the main event of the two days: Ichirou Mizuki “The King”, from the widely famous group Jam Project, would be doing a live concert on the Saturday, and of course on Sunday May’n, a singer with a soaring-fanbase due to her Seiyuu role of Sherly Nome in the newest Macross series: Macross Frontier, will be performing for the first time outside of her home country! This is surely a chance not to be missed!

Other events consists of the Industry Seminar where influencial speakers from various industries like Animax, Denstu, Imaginary Friends Studios, Pan Asia Partners and more are invited to share their experiences in the Anime industry. Notice how Odex wasn’t in the list. Also, this convention is also to celebrate the widely read manga magazine Shonen Jump! Happy Birthday Shonen Jump, you’ve serialized some of the best mangas ever known to mankind *applaudes*. Finally, there’s StudioC’s Director Koji Morimoto would be present to give us insights on the studios’ Genius Party Beyond.
